Lil'Veg and I were working on crafts this morning, he insisted on decorating snowflakes, and making some cards, so we had lots of fun with that.
Then there were Tinker Toys - I couldn't make squat that looked remotely like what it was supposed to be. But I did turn up a silly robot and Lil'veg made a flying saucer. Hubby couldn't stand hearing the fun without joining in and before we new it he had made a Train, a Dog, and a really cool Guitar... Which got Veg making Drum sticks, flutes, and I made a wash board.. ha ha.. Turned in to a very loud band of 3. Never new that Tinker Toys could make such lovely sounds...
And then there was the Craft Store... I have to admit this was some place I wanted to go by myself. I had to pick up a couple things and wanted to meander through the isles looking for Christmas sales and crafty ideas. But Hubby and Veg wanted to come along... With that we saw an amazing Sunset and "Moon Rise" as Veg calls it. And because they were there, we got what we needed and got out quickly, which gave us time to get home and make stuff.
Veg and I made a snowman out of Styrofoam balls and pipe cleaners. Hubby was not interested in participating but there was one "snow" ball left and veg said he wanted it to be a "Snow Dog" for his "Snow Man".. I'm not capable of being that creative but I knew Hubby could complete this task easily.
So I lured him in to the creativity... He started cutting and clipping and snipping and folding and stuffing... And next thing I new there was an adorable little snow dog.
Veg was Soo happy!! ----To finish off our little snow Scene he made two pipe cleaner candy canes, he hung one on the Snow Man's Arm and hung the other on the Snow Dog's Tail.
Tomorrow on the agenda is a Styrofoam Tree, to sit next to the tree we made last year... Could this be a new tradition??? hmmm? Just maybe.... Stay tuned!
